January 29th, 2010 P&W night CANCELLED!!!

There will not be a P&W night this Friday 1/29/2010. Too much stuff going on right now. Our son Benjamin started back on chemo treatments this week.
Additionally Sam Martinez our bass player is currently playing in Tokyo and Tapei for a couple weeks, drummer JT is on tour, keyboardist and singer John Wilds is playing in Orlando all week….. You get the picture, but sorry for the late notice. I was trying to make it happen with a alternate rhythm section but no luck! P&W night in February will be in Plant City for John Wild’s CD release party which should be a good time and great music! I hope you and the family can make it out! Hope everything is well in your world!

God Bless,

DECEMBER 2009 NEWS

Hi Gang!
Thanks so much for everybody who joined us for our “Jaco Pastorious Tribute Jam 2009/ David Via Donation Drive” last night at Musicology. It was a HUGE SUCCESS!!!!
We had over 100 people attending the event and there was such a synergy and good buzz! The music was incredible, the vibe and camaraderie was beautiful amongst the amazing musicians and audience!
Our goal at Musicology is to continually build community and contribute  AUTHENTIC QUALITY MUSIC EVENTS to the Tampa Bay Area!! It was very encouraging to see so many people come out and listen to heavy/real/deep music and be way into it!!!

A huge thanks goes out to Geoff Caputo who set up Jaco Jam 2009. Without his hard and persistent work of planning and coordinating the musicians, as well as arrange the set list we could have not pulled this event off. Geoff Caputo; you shred in all your ways!!! Musicology Praise and Worship night this Friday November 22nd 7:30PM

Dear People,

The Musicology P&W night is this upcoming Friday the 20th. It is going to be RIDICOUSLY AWESOME! Whoever shows up for this one is in for an amazing treat. This next Friday evening we have some of Tampa Bays premier musicians all under the same roof for an evening of stellar music! Not just good music, but music that is beneficial for the soul too!!

For the first time in the history of Musicology’s Praise and Worship nights we have three amazing singers joining forces. Musicology proudly present on vocals: John Wilds (and keyboards), Stephanie Roberts, and Kalisha Pupello. Some of Tampa Bays finest singers in da house, LOOK OUT!!!!

The super-tight and funky rhythm section for the evening is: Sam Martinez: bass, Chris Spencer: drums, Jeremy Powell: saxophone and Peter Mongaya: guitar. These musicians are all killer players in their own right that,  but in this context there will some serious synergy blistering off stage!

Definitely spread the word on this event, TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS and your grandmothers too!!!!. It is going to be a psycho-good night overflowing with good ambient-gospel-improvised-funky-soul-jazz-rockin’ music!!!!  FLOWING MUSIC FOR REAL! Hope this email finds everybody well and enduring these purifying times…….KEEP PRESSING ON! (and remember to hug the people around you, we are all in the same hole-ridden boat)

P.S: For people who have not been to a P&W night before, and might have reservations about attending an event with any type of religious connotation, you need not worry! This is not an evening of snake handling, bible bashing, indoctrination or feeling like you are enduring a lame sales speech. This is all about an evening of beautiful and funky music, real gratitude, chilling and building authentic community. Please check it out, you won’t be disappointed!

Psalm 33:3 Sing to Him a new song; Play skillfully with a shout of joy.

Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Moving forward,
