The first link is the website that has the interview, and the second link is the video of the performance! Musicology started this with the School of Rock session last summer with three of the members in the band and they found their bassist from another School of Rock session and they just built it from there. They are now working on recording a seven song EP album, all original songs, with one of our guitar teachers here at Musicology, Ben Plott. You can find their page on Facebook under The Abstract Dossier and see about more information. They are playing a gig at Gasoline Alley on August 20th at 10pm, please try and make it and see their amazing progress in one year!

You are invited to an amazing night of music and community! The vision for these evenings is to facilitate a meeting of like-minded excellent musicians from different music/ church backgrounds and play fresh music, as well as hang out and talk about  what matters in life. The musicians that have been picked are all excellent musicians in their own right, but rarely have the opportunity to play together due to everybody have prior commitments at their respective churches every Sunday. These evenings are also in place to mentor and model to the people involved in local music or who play in church, what music can sound like. It is also a place for anybody who just loves killer music!

You are all invited to our legend-in-the -making School of Rock Concert series part III. This is our 3rd School of Rock concert and we are super-exited for everyone to hear what our SOR students have been up to for the last 10 weeks!!

We have 3 bands that have been going through this intense and highly informative 10 week course. This week each band will be going in the studio to record their best song in their repertoire. The studio is an intense experience for any musician; so we are exited to share our two cents worth of wisdom about how to be successful in the studio setting. After our Musicology and in-house engineer/guitarist/teacher Jeff Wragg mixes these 3 songs, each student will have a CD of their performance in the studio. Cool stuff indeed!

So please come on out on Friday and support these hardworking students first Musicology appearance. Please be forewarned: this place will be packed to the max! Tickets go on sale this Saturday, so hurry up and secure your spot as there is limited seating available! Hors D’oeuvre’s and wine will be complimentary with each ticket (for our adults).
