Musicology is a new and dynamic music school offering lessons, clinics and events in the Tampa Bay area. Musicology opened it’s doors in autumn of 2006. Since then the school has been growing rapidly ever since with it’s individualized lessons and labs.

Musicology’s owner/president/guitarist Peter Mongaya’s objective is to be a valuable resource to the Tampa Bay area musician who is not satisfied with their current level of skill on the instrument.

Musicology teaches students at all levels; YES ALL LEVELS! from a complete beginner to the gigging musician. Musicology’s teachers have the tools to further the development of the musician who is not content with their current skill and ready to move forward.

We are proud to say that we have one of the most qualified teaching faculties of any music school in the whole Tampa Bay area. All our teachers have a minimum of a degree in music or equivalent experience . Several teachers have been, or are currently, on faculty at colleges/music conservatories.
